Good Morning,
I wanted to reach out to everyone to address questions regarding the non renovated 9 greens, but before I get there I need to provide a little back ground. It is and will be our goal to make the course play firm and fast and with that will come parts of the golf course having some small tints of brown.
We acknowledge that the greens are brown and look like they are dying. The good news, they are alive and well, but brown. The other good news is the playability is very good, the ball rolls true. No chemicals, or any other applications are making the greens this color, meaning we haven’t done anything to kill them.
So what are we going to do? We are addressing them. Arlen has applied some chemicals this morning that hopefully will green them up a little and will continue to address them over the next week, meaning we will try and get them to look more green than brown.
Ecstatically they are not as appealing as the new 9, but again the playability is good.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or Arlen and we will do our best to provide you the answers to your questions.
Thanks, John
